Unfortunately (for me and my family), nothing in my kitchen. But, at PORTMANTEAU we are excited to tell you that we are collaborating with a very talented and up and coming young designer. His name is MILAN SENIC, whose creations you will have an opportunity to purchase in our store, very soon. He is an incredibly talented young man in many artistic forms. A writer for an alternative culture magazine URBAN BUG, a stylist, a costume and a fashion designer, it seems that Milan Senic doesn’t lack creativity when it comes to self-expression.
Remember our earlier post about multifunctional design? Milan Senic is all about that and more. Each of his pieces has a life of its own. The whole collection is an interpretation and redesign of the basics, like your white and black shirt, black pants and little black dress. As you are going to see, Milan Senic’s creations are missing color. He explained that with lack of color he really got into exploring form. As a result, he achieved especially bold pieces. Awesome!
A shirt is transformed into a dress, then a coat. Pants are easily converted into a skirt and through the transformation your perception gets distorted. Pants or skirt? What is it? Who cares when it looks great.
Have I lost you? Check out the pictures and you will be back in no time. These photos were taken last month during the International Fashion Stage Sarajevo. Enjoy friends!
Tell me, which creations did you like the best? Could you see yourself in some of the pieces? Are you a black and white person or is color your thing? Well, I would pick anything, truly. But, if I had to choose only one, it would be the black high-waisted skirt.
Just love it!
